LCMT has already 381 participants (69 tickets still available on 31th January)!

Yes, the Belgian MTB Tour "LCMT" is getting easily complete. At 4 months before start only 69 tickets are still available, which means already 381 participants (145 who are doing the competition formula). The 4 days during tour through the rough and tough Ardennes allows about 450 mountainbikers (either competitive or recreative riders, men & women) and takes place from 17 till 20 May 2012. Yet, more than 235 recreative bikers as well have subscribed already. And one hundred relatives (wife/husband/children) for the hotel accommodation as well. It will be the 14the edition already and the organizing group Biking Events has recently refreshed its team completely, as they communicate this themselves proudly. It must give a still greater "prestige" to this mountainbike tour in Belgium, which happens to be the most popular one in Benelux. Lots of Flemish and Dutch mountainbikers are coming since many years to this event. It looks like now also more and more international mountainbikers have found the road to the LCMT which is mostly around the region of the famous MTB city "Houffalize". AYWAILLE (or the birthplace of Philippe Gilbert) is the new Start & Finish of the LCMT 2012

We proudly present AYWAILLE as the next guest-city of the LCMT. Together with HOUFFALIZE, Aywaille is probably the most 'cycling breathing' city of the whole Ardennes. It is not only the home of PHILIPPE GILBERT, the world's best cyclist. It was also the organizing city of the European MTB Championships in 1998 (winner Eric Dupouey by the elite, a certain Julien Absalon won in the younger categories). And above all, it is the place where every year Liege-Bastogne-Liege is almost decided with the famous climbing of La Redoute. So, Aywaille is a great place to receive the LCMT-peloton on May 17th. And it will be also a great finish after 4 days of Ardennes-biking! We want to thank the community and the local government of Aywaille for their hospitality. We are sure that Aywaille-Houffalize-Aywaille will bring the best opportunities for this 4 days MTB Tour. Already we are thinking about the great circuits that can be drawn now. If you still doubt to do this LCMT, be sure of this: Aywaille-Houffalize, is simply MAGIC, when speaking about mountainbiking in Benelux and even whole Europe!

Desk Biking Events (LCMT) closed till 30th October

Biking Events and the Low Countries' Mountainbike Tour move out to another place. For this reason we prefer to close our activities for the next 2 weeks. We are back in business at October 30th. That's also the reason to open the subscription procedure for the next LCMT at December 1st this year. Thanks for understanding!

14th edition from May 17th till May 20th - online inscriptions from November 1st !

The 14th LOW COUNTRIES' MOUNTAINBIKE TOUR will take place from Thursday, 17 May till Sunday 20 May 2012. It will be possible to subscribe from November 1st this year. You can use our online subscribe page for this purpose. The Low Countries' Mountainbike Tour is able to accept a maximum of 500 mountainbikers (all categories together). You will have the choice between participation ALL INCLUDED (with lodgings) or participation without lodgings (in hotel).

Only 69 tickets still available for the next coming Low Countries' Mountainbike Tour (2 - 5 June)

Today's statististics about the 13th Low Countries' Mountainbike Tour: 431 riders have subscribed already. Among them 151 competitive riders and 280 recreative mountainbikers. With a maximum limit of 500 participants, we only have 69 tickets to distribute. A list with all riders is to be found in our participants listing.

Start of the new subscribe period: Monday, november, 15th!

Mid november as promised, we opened our new subscription campaign for the coming Low Countries' Mountainbike Tour 2011 (2 till 5 June). We looked for the best matching time registration system. And we worked also on a better, more transparant, on-line subscribe system which we present you today.
Also to remember if you live not too far away from Ghent: information evening with debate on Friday, December 3th! More specifications on the dutch pages of our website (news). On topic: how to prepare yourself for an endurance challenge on the mountainbike such as the Low Countries' Mountainbike Tour, the Houffalize MTB Marathon and the Cape Epic!

Foto's van in de LCMT kunnen op diverse wijze bekomen worden. Via www.im-design.be kunt u uw gepersonaliseerde foto (diverse formaten) on-line bestellen en dit vanaf 5 €!

Ook via face-book en langs links met diverse deelnemers die ons intussen hun weblink doorgaven kunt u foto's bekijken. Verder was www.mountainbike.be ter plaatse op dagen 2 en 3. En zullen we zo gauw mogelijk ook op deze website onze fotopagina's uitbreiden. Kijk onder de knop FOTO'S (nu al dagen 1 tot en met 3). Veel foto's dienen hier nog te worden aan toegevoegd!

LCMT 2010 = 10.000 € on prizes to be distributed!

De LCMT 2010 zal voor 10.000 euro aan prijzen uitdelen in de komende vierdaagse. Ook dat is een record! Biking Events heeft kosten noch moeite gespaard om dit 'uitverkocht' peloton in de watten te leggen straks. De totale service wordt ondermeer uitgebreid met een welkomst-aperitief in de bar van Ol Fosse d'Outh tussen 18u en 19u30. Maar de te winnen prijzen zijn dus ook niet min. Zowel voor het competitiegedeelte als voor de recreatief meefietsende bikers is heel wat moois weg gelegd. Een greep uit het aanbod volgt hieronder:

LCMT 2010 - day by day time table

On Thursday morning at 8.00 am gates will open at the Stavelot football stadium. But those who have reserved their hotelroom in Houffalize on the day before the start, can already find their start package at Wednesday evening in the hotel! (more info down below)

Start and finish at the football stadium of RCS Stavelot

The start and 4 days later final finish is drawn at the football stadium of Stavelot. RCS Stavelot has a nice accommodation: changing rooms, toilets, showers... In the bar with view on the famous Stockeu-mountain all participants can present themselves Thursday morning from 7.45 am.
Biking Events will serve you a breakfast (sandwiches) and coffee or other drinks can be bought at the football bar, where people from the football club do the service. Same story at Sunday after the last finish: pasta party by Loup Gourmand (Claudio, who is also member of the football club) and drinks (with a nice home made beer) by the members of the football club RCS Stavelot.

It looks like the Low Countries' MTB Tour will distribute a lot of nice prices this year! A 2 Persons-all in arrangement in Austria for the famous Salzkammergut (19 July 2010) is to be gained by the competition riders in our 4 days Ardennes Tour. Of course it will allow you also in participating to the Austrian Alpes-marathon. All this has been achieved thanks to a partnership between the local Austrian Tourism Offic and Biking Events.

LCMT in O2 BIKERS Magazine and on-line covered by FIETS

The Low Countries' Mountainbike Tour can enjoy some media-curiousity. O2 BIKERS sends its biking reporter, Lionel Mineur, who will be testifying about his 4 days experience on his mountainbike. With lots of interviews and impressions of course.
The Dutch magazine FIETS gives a daily on-line web report about what's happening in the LCMT. Surf to www.fiets.nl.

LCMT bunch from 9 countries!

Not only the record amount of 446 finally accepted riders, but also the increasing number of countries is remarkable for the soon coming Low Countries' Mountainbike Tour. They come now from 9 countries. Still most of them are Belgians or Dutch riders. But we see also more and more Germand people. Down below, you find the ranking of countries according to their registrated participants for the LCMT 2010.

Nieuwe LCMT-outfit met retro en 'Molteni-toets'!

De Low Countries' Mountainbike Tour 2010 stelt vandaag de nieuwe kledinglijn voor, exclusief ontworpen in samenwerking met BIO-RACER. Met een vleugje retro-nostalgie, jazeker! Want behalve de keuze voor de originele logo-kleuren (tevens duidelijk zichtbaar in deze nieuwe website) zal de ware wielerfanaat in dit ontwerp misschien een lichte verwijzing naar het ongeëvenaarde Molteni-team van Eddy Merckx ontwaren? Feit is: met deze outfit krijgt de leider in de klassementscompetitie een bijzonder aantrekkelijke en opvallend tenue aangetrokken. Maar, deze outfit is uiteraard ook beschikbaar voor ALLE deelnemers aan de LCMT!
Tegen bijzonder aantrekkelijke promotieprijzen kunt u trui, broek én sokjes bekomen en dat mits eenvoudig opsturen van een e-mail (zie ons contactformulier onderaan), waarbij u duidelijk vermeldt welke uw maat is. Bovendien wordt ook een aparte en gloednieuwe BERGTRUI ontworpen. Wie de nieuwe bergprijs wint krijgt hem sowieso om de schouders. Maar ongetwijfeld zullen ook andere LCMT-deelnemers zin krijgen in deze bolletjestrui van de LCMT (met W Cup-logo dat hier en daar de bolletjes vervangt).

Inschrijvingen open op de nieuwe website

Beste mountainbiker, de inschrijvingspagina is opnieuw OPEN. Noteer wel dat wij alle reeds ingeschreven deelnemers van voor de website-vernieuwing nog moeten overzetten naar het huidige systeem. LCMT-deelnemers die dus al een tijdje terug hadden ingeschreven hoeven NIETS te doen. Hun gegevens worden door ons overgezet in het nieuwe systeem.
